Joel Rosenberg

Author Guest of Honor

A few of you might remember that Joel Rosenberg attended InConJunction a few years ago as our toastmaster. In 2001 he's coming back as our Author Guest of Honor.

Joel is probably best known for his Guardians of the Flame series including Guardians of the Flame, The Sword and the Chain, The Silver Crown, The Heir Apparent, The Warrior Lives, The Road to Ehvenor, and The Road Home. The most recent edition to the series, Not Exactly the Three Musketeers, is a swashbuckling parody of the classic Dumas novel.

His Dshai books, including D'Shai and Hour of the Octopus are excellent mysteries in a fantasy milieu. The Keepers of the Hidden Ways series ( The Fire Duke, The Silver Stone, The Crimson Sky, and The Silver Stone) plays with a more modern fantasy concept - faerie and old Norse gods alive and well and living on modern Earth.

While fantasy is what most of us associate the name with, his military science fiction book, Not for Glory, is considered top-notch (but, unfortunately, is out of print).
