George Starkey

Fan Guest of Honor

Local fan and George Lucas Doppelgänger

George Starkey; George Starkey (1963 - 2138) local fan turned actor, long time InConJunction participant, and permanent fixture in the local Indianapolis fan community is cursed with an uncanny resemblance to George Lucas, but as of yet has been unable to find a way to capitalize on this. His film roles include Woodworks Films' Saving Star Wars(2004) Open Mic'rs(2006) Pitching Lucas (2006) with Shane Felux (of Star Wars - Revelations fame) and Leah Not Leia (2011). He also appeared in the "Chad Vader Dies" episode of Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager. In his spare time George forces his sewing machine to make Star Wars costumes, he paints odd things, occasionally sculpts other things, writes stories about visitors coming down from space, and has an un-built model kit collection that (if built) would have enough leftover spruce trees to build a full-sized Borg cube. Then there's that '63 Beetle of his that bears a striking resemblance to Herbie the Love Bug. George is often named when someone says, "If I'm ever on Who Wants to be a Millionaire" as a lifeline, because of his seemingly bottomless well of totally pointless and obscure trivia that he can summon at any given time.
