Gaming

You can always bet on there being lots of gaming related activities at InConJunction, and this year will be no different.

Take your post at the Garrison! For years the cornerstone of the InConJunction Gaming Room, Gunner's Garrison is now front and center with Gunner himself honored as Fan Guest of Honor. Count on a variety of miniatures battles, board games, kids activities, and video gaming including Wii!

In addition, confront "weird science" at one of Indy's most notorious locations -- Central State mental hospital, in a Call of Cthulhu adventure planned by Jill Harris.

Games also include WizKids Clix with Mark Fewell, Hollow Earth Expedition with Shawn Hilton and more!

Game Masters and Judges, InConJunction Wants You!

Welcome to Gunner's Garrison!
The gaming area for InConJunction 2008 (Suites 11-14) features numerous games and activities planned by Robert "Gunner" plus some scheduled events brought to you by other experienced Game Masters. Beginners are welcome and encouraged.

In addition, Steve Marsh of Pyramid Magazine may stop by with a challenge or two of his own.

Special Events

  • Play the new X-Box 360 Iron Man game, based on the hit movie, and you could win the game disc to take home.
  • For RPG players, take on some home-grown horror Saturday night with a Call of Cthulhu game set in an actual haunted site near downtown Indianapolis, "The Last Days of Central State."
  • Steven Marsh of Pyramid Magazine hosts a GURPS adventure for aspiring Time Lords.

The schedule is always subject to change, with new items added throughout the weekend, so check by the Garrison often for updates.

6:00 PM-Munchkin Tournament Round 1. GM: Daryl Gardner. Go down in the dungeon. Kill everything you see, and take the treasure. Winners go on to the finals on Sunday at Noon.
8:00 PM-Battlestations! GM: Ben Meyaard. Battlestations is a pulp sci-fi adventure boardgame by Gorilla Games. Ongoing adventures feature simultaneous ship-to-ship and boarding combat in space. Players work together as a starship crew aboard a ship of their own design facing referee-controlled forces. You'll track the heroes' positions on the starship layouts and the starships' positions on the space map. The action in Battlestations is character driven. If you want the ship to turn, speed up, or launch a missile or blast the enemy ship, a hero has to take an action to make it so.
8:00 PM-Lifeboat! GM: Ben Meyaard. Card game (non-collectible) for 4-6 players. Your ship has sunk, and now you're adrift at sea aboard a lifeboat with your secret love and a secret enemy! Foam-rubber monsters may be involved.)  A game with pregenerated characters for GURPS Lite, but we'll teach you everything you need to know in a few minutes.
6:00 PM-Munchkin Tournament Round 3. GM: Daryl Gardner. Go down in the dungeon. Kill everything you see, and take the treasure.
