Anime Room

InConJunction's Anime Room is known for its wide variety of animated Japanese movies, series and shorts. The Anime Room runs nearly all hours of the convention. The schedule is geared towards family audiences during the day, and adult audiences during the night.

The Anime Room staff always welcomes suggestions and movie referrals. An honest effort is made to research all suggestions and judge the suitability of each request. Studio representatives should make contact via one of the methods below to schedule screenings of their films or videos.

Anime Room Schedule

Friday, July 7th
2:00 PM	"Daicin IV" (30 Minutes) (1986) A video of beautiful cel animation, comparable to that of 1988's “Akira”. Daicon IV firmly established Daicon Film as a talented new anime studio, later renamed Gainax in 1985.
2:30 PM	"Last Order" (30 Minutes) (2005) An addition to the “Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children” film, it’s an anime rendition of two flashbacks that took place in the game. One revolves around the Nibelheim scenario and the other involves Zack and Cloud on the run from Shin-Ra.
3:00 PM	"Advent Children" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2005) Two years after the events in "Final Fantasy VII", a disease called 'Seikon-Shoukougun', or 'Geostigma', is spreading through the planet…
4:30 PM	"Noein" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2005) Fifteen years in the future, a violent battle takes place between La’cryma, that protects humanity, and Shangri-La, that plans the annihilation of all space-time. The key to stopping Shangri-La’s invasion is a mysterious object known as “the Dragon’s Torque.” A group known as the Dragon Calvary is being sent through space and time to find it.
6:00 PM	Noein: Quantum Physics & Common Sense (1 Hour - Rating: PG-13) Noein showings invariably result in raging debates so we're making time for it. A prize goes to the first person who knows the origin of the name.
7:00 PM	"Hotori" (1 Hour) (2005) At the Personality Plant, robots are being built with the artificial memories of real people. Suzu is one such robot, being made to replace the young boy a family has lost. By chance, he meets a Hitori, a young girl suffering from progressive memory loss. The two children become friends and attempt to define themselves in the light of their changing memories.
8:00 PM	"Negima" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2005) Negi Springfield is only 10 years old and is trying to become a wizard. Think of it as a Harry Potter meets Love Hina meets Azumanga Daioh meets Sensei no Ojikan Doki Doki School Hours, except picture it in a middle school.
9:30 PM	"Sousei no Aquarion" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2005) In a distant future, humanity once again is facing the threat of the "Shadow Angels". To fight against them, youngsters with special powers from around the world were gathered and trained to pilot the "vector machines", three ancient ships that together form mankind's ultimate weapon, "Aquarion".
11:00 PM	"Densha Otoko Marathon" (9 Hours, 30 Minutes) (2005) Based on a true story. A 22 year old Japanese guy, a video game and computer fanatic, saved a pretty, young woman from a drunkard on a train. He wanted to ask her out, but there's a problem. He had never been out on a date and didn’t know what to do. He turned to his computer, and using the name "Train Man" he asked for help on the Internet. A bunch of people came to his aid and with their help he fell in love with the girl of his dreams.

Saturday, July 8th
8:30 AM	"Genshiken" (2 Hours) (2004) The misadventures of the close-knit members of a small anime/manga club on a college campus. Their membership includes a shy, stuttering sketch artist, an overzealous, motor-mouthed maniac that argues for the passion in all things otaku, and the club's creepily quiet founding president that has been in charge since 1987.
10:30 AM	"School Rumble" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2004) Tsukamoto is in high school and, like other girls her age, falls in love. However, she could not bring herself to confess her love to her classmate Karasumaru. She discovers that Karasumaru will transfer out next year and, with the help of her friends and her little sister Yakumo, tries to confess her love.
12:00 PM	What's new in Anime? (1 Hour - Rating: G) Discuss your favorite shows and movies that are new this year.
1:00 PM	"The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2006) On the first day of high school a beautiful girl named Haruhi introduces herself as having "no interest in ordinary humans". Watching her weird behavior is Kyon, a boy who is the only person who talks to her. Kyon and several others find themselves literally dragged into the Save our world by Overloading it with fun Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade (the S.O.S. Brigade for short).
2:30 PM	"Mushishi" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2005) They are neither plants nor animals. Instead they resemble the primeval body of life and are generally known as "Mushi". Their existence and appearance are unknown to many and only a limited number of humans are aware of them. Ginko is a "Mushi-shi" who travels around to investigate and find out more about the "Mushi".
4:00 PM	Computer-Aided Manga Style Drawing (1 Hour) For this animation demo we'll compress hours of work into minutes of animation in the manga style.
5:00 PM	"Godannar" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2003) While battling an alien force known as the "Mimesis," Dannar pilot Goh first met Anna Aoi. On the day of their wedding, the ceremony is interrupted when the Mimesis strike again. As Goh struggles against the alien threat, Anna stumbles upon a top secret robot known as the "Neo-Okusaer" and uses it to save her fiancee.
6:30 PM	"Burst Angel" (Conclusion) (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2004) In a crime-ridden future Japan, Kyohei Tachibana is a peaceful student at a culinary school, dreaming of going to France for advanced study as a pastry chef. To afford the trip, he accepts a part-time job as private cook to a strange group of women - Sei, Meg, Jo and Amy.
8:00 PM	"Ergo Proxy" (1 Hour) (2006) In a world where humans and androids live in relative peace, there exists a domed city named "Romdeau". This utopian landscape is soon broken by a series of mystifying murders. Real Mayar, a female inspector from the Citizen Information Bureau, along with her android partner Iggy, are tasked to solve the murder cases.
9:00 PM	"Karas" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2006) The old Karas is dead. The new Karas is chosed to be Otoha , a young man just awoken from a coma. So he and his trainer start the fight against the evil forces of darkness that are trying to conquer the city of Shijuku.
10:30 PM	"Rogue Farm" (30 Minutes) (2004) In a remote corner of Scotland, a couple scratch a living from their isolated, hill farm. Memories of a war that has left the world broken haunt them, but a remarkable stranger arrives and their lives begin to take a shape they couldn't possibly have imagined.
11:00 PM	"Pale Cocoon" (30 Minutes) (2005) In the far future when the continuity of the history has been lost, the past exists only in records. The Bureau of Record Excavation is responsible for this task and Ura works for the 92nd office. But everyone knows that to know the past means to know the misery of this world.
11:30 PM	"Jigoku Shoujo" (30 Minutes) (2005) Somewhere in the vast sea of the Internet, there's a website that can only be accessed at the stroke of midnight. Rumor has it that if you post a grudge there, the Jigoku Shoujo will appear and drag whoever torments you into the inferno.
1:00 AM	"Hellsing OVA" (1 Hour) (2006) A retelling of Hellsing, based directly off the Manga.
2:00 AM	"Blood" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes)
3:30 AM	"Blood+" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2006) A young girl named Saya combats shape-shifting demons called Chiropterans, ravenous creatures that can change their form and disguising themselves as human beings, in Okinawa, 2005.
5:00 AM	"Tsukihime" (2 Hours) (2004) Shiki Tohno is able to see strange lines coming from objects and people. If he cuts some of these lines, he destroys the people connected to them. One day he meets a woman called Arcueid and together they start a journey that's going to reveal some secrets of his past…

Sunday, July 9th
7:00 AM	"Paradise Kiss" (1 Hour) (2005) Yukari is a typical high-school student who listens to her parents and attends school everyday. As she starts to question her way of life, she encounters a group of fashion design students who have a clothing label known as "Paradise Kiss".
8:00 AM	"Ouran High School Host Club" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2003) One day a girl breaks an $80,000 vase that belongs to one of the campus clubs: a mysterious outfit called the "Host Club," consisting of six super-rich (and gorgeous) guys. Mistaking her for a boy, they force her to work to pay the damages. But when she proves to be a hit with the female students, the guys decide it's more fun keeping up the charade...
9:30 AM	Your Favorite Anime Stinks! (1 Hour - Rating: PG-13) It's your chance to rant and badmouth anything and everything! But you better have some good reasoning or be ready to defend yourself!
10:30 AM	"Kamichu (Kiss a God)" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) Some post-rant anime sweetness.
12:00 PM	"Black Cat" (1 Hour, 30 Minutes) (2005 )There used to be a legendary assassin called “Black Cat”. He was supposed to be killed because he had betrayed the secret syndicate “Cronos” who hired Train to become a bounty hunter to kill him.
1:30 PM	"Bleach Jump Festa" (1 Hour)
2:30 PM	"Full Metal Panic 2nd Raid" (1 Hour) (2005) This is the sequel to the first FMP series and starts where the first series left off. Sousuke is back mixing school and his military job, but a secret organization wants to eliminate Mithril and carry out their evil plans.
