Steven Barnes

Author Guest of Honor

Steven Barnes has an interesting combination of skills. Not only is he a writer, lecturer and creative consultant, he is also a certified hypno-therapist and martial arts devotee. He writing spans the field from teleplays, screenplays, novels, short stories and non-fiction works. His teleplay work includes an adaptation of the classic science fiction novel, Little Fuzzy, by H. Beam Piper and two episodes of The Outer Limits. A few of his latest novels are Beowulf's Children (with Niven and Pournelle), Blood Brothers, Iron Shadows and Saturn's Race. Steve lives in Washington with his wife, Tananrive Due, near his ex-wife and good friend Toni, his daughter Lauren, and with a dog and an assortment of cats.

Steven will be hosting Tai Chi classes all three mornings of the convention at 9am. No previous experience with, or knowledge of, Tai Chi needed to participate.
