The Circle of Janus is the general science fiction/fantasy fan club of the greater Indianapolis, Indiana area. We've been in existence since 1980, serving the local fan community by providing a gathering place for those with a common interest in Science Fiction and Fantasy. We meet on the first Saturday of every month (other than July and September) at the Westview Christian Church, 5925 W 34th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224-1296. The meetings, which start at 7:30pm, are open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend.
This is a private list server for members of the Circle of Janus to plan and coordinate "Non-Meeting Meetings". A "Non-Meeting Meeting" is defined as: A meeting, held at other than the regular time, hosted at other than the standard location (usually a member's home), at which no business is conducted and casual entertainment and conversation is enjoyed. Our regular business meetings, while they include a lot of non-business announcements and conversation, can become pretty tedious at times. These "Non-Meeting Meetings" give our members a change to socialize in a more casual atmosphere and to enjoy each another's company without the looming need to conduct any club related business.
If you are a member of the club, and would be interested in hosting a "Non-Meeting Meeting", please feel free to sign up for this list server. If you are a member of the club and have any ideas about "Non-Meeting Meeting" locations or gatherings, like movies premiers, sporting events, picnics, etc., feel free to join as well and contribute to the discussion. The list server's moderator, at the next regular club meeting, will present all worthy ideas so that the club can discuss them.
